At Hautes Capelles this knowledge, alongside the skills and attributes, is taught to help children to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society. As responsible citizens, children and young people learn to respect and value other people and to develop an understanding of their beliefs and feelings, this will help them to develop positive relationships, promote quality and fairness and counter discrimination. From making responsible decisions about alcohol to forming healthy relationships, PSHE helps learners to manage many of the most critical opportunities, challenges and responsibilities they will face growing up.
- At Hautes Capelles we believe that if children and young people are healthy and emotionally secure they will grow to be confident individuals that are more able to develop the capability to live a full life.
- With a sense of wellbeing they will be able to deal with the unexpected and cope with adversity.
- Through their learning in PSHE, children and young people have opportunities to engage positively in experiences that are enjoyable, effective and challenging in a variety of settings including the outdoors. Resulting in them becoming effective contributors for the wider life and health of our school and the community.
